Benefits of Wearing Amber

In working with amber over the past 10 years, we have had many reports and much feedback about how amber helps wearers.  So I want to detail below some of the benefits reported to us.  We can feel confident in telling people of our experience.

We always advise from the start that to gain a benefit from wearing amber, you must give it a bit of time to allow the succinite, the healing element, to build up in the system.  In the same way as taking an iron tonic for a few days will not make an impact, so it is with amber.  A second point to note is that amber will not cure any problem, it simply may give relief from the symptoms.  When it is removed for a time, people can report the return of the problem after a little while.

Amber has a natural pain relieving and anti-inflammatory properties.  It is particularly well known to help with the pain of growing teeth and with bone and joint pain.  But its positive benefit does not end there.  Many people, who may have started wearing amber to help with a particular joint problem, first notice an improvement in the quality of their sleep.  They will awake more rested and feel a general improvement in their energy and well being.  Amber is called an adaptogen, i.e. it helps the body help itself.  We feel from our experience that if a person is more relaxed and calm, they are better able to cope with everyday problems and stresses.  In fact, many people use amber to help them deal with stress.

So amber, when worn against the skin continually, is known to benefit many chronic ongoing daily conditions.  Bones and joint are top of the list but not exclusive.  Wearing amber has been very successful in dealing with Repetitive Strain Injuries, ongoing pains and strains caused by repetitive posture or movements.  Many people who cannot wear amber in their work environment benefit from using amber as an anklet, or a bracelet or necklace worn on the ankle.  It can be put closer to the problem area in non-working time.

Other people have reported improvement in migraine, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, chest, ear nose and throat problems (including hay fever and sinus problems), eczema and psoriasis.  Amber is well known in it's native area, the Baltic countries, as a remedy for thyroid problems.

Please note: We are not medical people ourselves and can only give you the benefit of our experience in amber. We caution that the information we give is not intended as medical advice and is an opinion for information only. Always seek advice from a qualified health care professional if you have any questions regarding a medical condition. Do not under any circumstance disregard professional advice or delay in seeking professional advice because of content found on this site.  Another point to note is that amber may not help everyone.  We estimate that 90% of wearers feel some benefit but as with any treatment, some people will feel no improvement.  a very small number of people, 1 in 500, may develop a localised rash which will clear on the removal of amber.  This may have a connection to colophony, a resin sensitivity.
